I cannot logon eduroam, why?

It may be the problem that:

  • If you're situated at a visiting institution, please configure your computer according to this institution's eduroam configuration guide, which may be different from the UST one. Joining eduroam only ensure that passwords be checked, not necessary the configuration procedure
  • The wireless device has not been turned on for wireless connections.
  • The eduroam network has not been connected. Please check if the status is Connected.
  • The eduroam service is not configured correctly at the wireless device. Please check with the corresponding configuration guidelines.
  • The visiting institution does not support WPA2/AES and WPA/TKIP. Please refer to here for details.
  • The user forgets to type @ust.hk immediately after the user name at the user name field during logon.
  • Wrong username or password is presented during logon. Users should make sure the correct username / password are inputted.
