How to get "Thawte Primary Root CA - G3" root certificate on Windows?

Method 1 - Automatic Installation

  1. Connect to the Internet via
    • your home Wi-Fi or wired network
    • "Wi-Fi.HK via HKUST" Wi-Fi service in public area on campus
  2. Open Internet Explorer
    • Automatic installation does not work on other browsers like Chrome and Firefox
  3. Access https://www.thawte.com/
  4. Done! The root certificate have been already installed in your computer

Method 2 - Manual Installation

  1. Download the root certification
  2. Open the downloaded file
  3. Click Install Certificate
  4. Click Next
  5. Click Next
  6. Click Finish
  7. Done! The root certificate have been already installed in your computer
