Setting up Apple macOS Device to Access eduroam

This page provides sample instructions for HKUST Staff & Students to set up Apple macOS devices to connect to eduroam.

Users are recommended to use the Wi-Fi Services Advisor if they are not sure which Wi-Fi service should be used.


Configure and Access eduroam

Step 1: Bring Up Wireless Network Connection Menu

  1. Click AirPort icon at the top-right corner of the screen

  2. Select Turn AirPort On

  3. Select eduroam

 

Step 2: Enter User Name and Password

  1. Enter your ITSC Network Account " @ust.hk " in Username field

  2. Enter your ITSC Network Account Password in Password field

  3. Click Join

 

Step 3: Verify Certificate

  1. Click Show Certificate

  2. Make sure DigiCert Global Root CA and wireless.ust.hk are shown

  3. Click Continue

Congratulations! You have connected to eduroam!
