How to set up an Exchange account on a Android device after migrated to Exchange 2013?

Follow the steps below to setup an Exchange 2013 account with your Android device. Please refer to Remove an email account if you need to remove an account on your Android device.

Setup a new account

  1. Select Settings

  2. Select Add account


  3. Select Corporate or Exchange, depending on your Android version

  4. Input your email address (with @ust.hk) and your password


  5. Click Next


  6. Click OK when prompted for Remote security administration


  7. Select the required settings (e.g. Sync email from this account, etc.) and click Next


  8. Give your account a name (optional) and click Next

  9. Click OK when prompted for Security update


  10. Click Activate when prompted for Activate device administrator


  11. You may start to check emails with your Email Application

Manual Setup

Use the following settings for your mobile device:

  • Email : username@ust.hk
  • Domain : ust.hk
  • Username : "Your ITSC Network Account" (e.g. ccjohn)
  • Password : "Your ITSC Network password"
  • Server : cas2013.exchange.ust.hk

Below are the steps to change the email sever of a typical Android device:

  1. Select Settings

  2. Select Email under ACCOUNTS


  3. Select Account settings

  4. Select your HKUST account

  5. Scroll to SERVER SETTINGS and select Incoming settings


  6. Change the server setting to cas2013.exchange.ust.hk


  7. Select Done

  8. Click OK when prompted for Remote security administration

  9. Click a few times to exit the settings menu

For some mobiles, you need to use the manual setup before you can view the server settings. Below are the screen captures of a popular Chinese Xiaomi mobile:

  1. Press the manual settings button


  2. Enter the server address cas2013.exchange.ust.hk
