Unable to access Windows Using Remote Desktop Connection after the target PC has idled for a few hours

By default, Windows uses the Balanced power plan that put a PC to sleep after an hour of idleness. To keep Remote Desktop Connection available,
  • Go to Control Panel.
  • Click on System and Security.
  • Click on Change when the computer sleeps.
  • Select Never under the Put the computer to sleep option.
  • Click Save changes.
