Can I use email application such as Thunderbird to access my emails in the Exchange system? |

The Microsoft Outlook 2010 and Outlook Web App (OWA) are the recommended native and web client platform to access your data (including Email, Calendar and Contacts, etc.) in Exchange system. However, you can keep access your email with email applications like Thunderbird, Outlook 2003 etc. with the server settings as shown below: Incoming Mail (IMAP/POP3) Server
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server:There is no need to change the Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server settings with your existing email application. If you are setting up a new email application, you may refer to the following setting:
Special FoldersIf you need to access your mailboxes using OWA / Microsoft Outlook and other email applications (e.g. Thunderbird, etc.), please note the name of some special folders will be different. Details please refer to Exchange Email: Notes on Special Folders. Related Links |
