Office 365 - What’s the feature set included in Office 365?

Office 365 includes a number of online services including

  • Exchange Online
    • Outlook Web App is the primary client
  • Office Web Apps
    • Create and edit Office documents from any browsers
  • OneDrive for HKUST
    • Provide 1 TB of personal storage that syncs with the PC for offline access
  • SharePoint Online (NOT enabled with @Connect Service)
    • SharePoint team sites
  • Lync Online (NOT enabled with @Connect Service)
    • Lync for IM, Lync meetings, and video conferences.

Please note that both the SharePoint Online (Sites) and Lync Online will not be available during the initial @Connect Office 365 launch.

In addition, students can enjoy the Office 365 Pro Plus as far as HKUST is participating the Microsoft Campus Agreement (MSCA):

  • Office 365 Pro Plus
    • Subscription to desktop Office for up to 5 PCs per user
