How to access my Exchange Account through the Web (using Outlook Web App, aka OWA)?

You can access your Exchange account through Outlook Web App (OWA):

Outlook Web App (OWA) is one of the recommended way to access your Exchange account. It gives you the same extensive set of features and user experience on different browsers whether you use Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, or Safari.

If you are new to OWA, you can always click the Help button located on the upper right of the screen.

OWA Light Version

The light version of Outlook Web App is much simpler than the standard version, both in appearance and in function.

Please follow the steps below in order to use the OWA light version:

  1. Logon to https://owa.exchange.ust.hk/
  2. Select Display settings under the Settings (gear icon) on the upper right corner of the screen
  3. Select Outlook Web App version, check the option Use the light version of Outlook Web App and click OK
  4. Sign out and sign in again to complete the change.
  5. If you cannot use your current browser to access the light version, please use the Internet Explorer. If you do not see the above layout, please clear the cache of your browser and Sign in to OWA again.

To resume to use the standard version, just un-check the Use the light version of Outlook Web App option, sign out and sign in OWA again.

Note:

  • For Internet Explore 6, the light version of OWA interface will be used.
  • If you need to configure your Exchange settings using OWA, please switch to the standard version.
  • Supported Browsers for Outlook Web App and Exchange Online
  • If you need to use S/MIME for digital signatures or message encryption, you must use Internet Explorer 7 or above
